The challenge
JLL required an Area Measurement Report (AMR) for a complex, multi-level office building to support an internal assessment. The property, located at Bailey Drive, consists of a two-storey main structure, additional second-floor amenity space, and a basement plant room. The primary challenge was to provide comprehensive, accurate measurement data across the entire site while coordinating access efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to the existing occupiers.
Our solution
PRE Surveyors were appointed to undertake a full building measurement to Gross Internal Area (GIA) standards. Our team managed the end-to-end process, from coordinating site access to the delivery of detailed spatial data. What we delivered
Full Building Measurement (GIA)
We conducted a comprehensive survey to determine the Gross Internal Area (GIA) of the entire 48,600 sq ft facility. This provided a definitive calculation of the total floor space within the external walls, essential for JLL’s internal assessment and asset management.
Multiple Floors & Plant Room Analysis
The instruction required a detailed breakdown of the building’s complex layout, including predominantly two-storey office accommodation, second-floor amenity spaces, and the basement plant room. Each level was captured to ensure a complete vertical profile of the property.
