An Energy Performance Certificate is required for properties when constructed, sold or let. The Energy Performance Certificate provides details on the energy performance of the property and what you can do to improve it.
Risk Management Strategies
The energy efficiency of a building is paramount to commercial success and determine the ability to let or dispose of a property … or not. The Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES), which came into force in England and Wales on 1 April 2018, applies to private rented residential and non-domestic property and is aimed at encouraging landlords and property owners to improve the energy efficiency of their properties. Our end-to-end consulting services include evaluating the extent of your portfolio or individual property’s liabilities, identifying key risk assets and providing expert technical advice on uprating your building stock, including accessing enabling finance.
BREEAM helps to manage and mitigate risk through demonstrating sustainability performance during planning, design, construction, operation or refurbishment, helping to lower running costs, maximise returns through market value and attract and retain tenants with desirable places to live and work.
